Directions:
- 1.Butter all 8 slices with medium fat spread; place 2 slices with buttered sides touching on top of each other – repeat with all the bread slices
- 2.Place cheese on each of the sandwiches, followed by tomato, salt and pepper
- 3.Lift the top slice of each sandwich and place on braai grid or toasted sandwich maker, followed by the other slice – buttered sides facing the grid / grill
- 4.*For the braai, close the braai grid, and cook over temperate coals, turning regularly until golden brown on both sides and the cheese melted (should take about 30 min) *For the toasted sandwich maker, close the maker and cook until golden (usually anywhere between 5-10 minutes, depending on the machine)
- 5.Serve as part of a braai meal, light meal or a quick snack
